What We Collect

We collect information in two contexts — when you interact with our site or waitlist, and when we work with you on a client engagement.

• Waitlist sign-ups: email address and optional name only. No account is created.
• Contact enquiries: name, email address, and the message content you submit.
• Client engagements: project specifications, source code, API credentials, and any business information shared during the build. Handled under a separate confidentiality agreement.
• Site analytics: page views, referrer, and device type via a privacy-respecting analytics provider. No personal identifiers are stored.

Cookies & Analytics

We use a minimal analytics setup. No advertising cookies or cross-site trackers are used.

• No third-party ad pixels or retargeting cookies.
• Session data is aggregated and not tied to individual identities.
• Our analytics provider does not use your data for advertising.
• You can opt out by enabling Do Not Track in your browser, or by using an ad blocker.

How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect only to provide and improve our services:

• Waitlist emails are used solely to notify you when a product launches and to share occasional updates.
• Contact enquiry data is used to respond to your message and, with your agreement, to keep you informed about our services.
• Client project data is used exclusively to deliver the agreed engagement.
• Analytics data is used to understand which pages are useful and improve the site experience.

Third-Party Services

We work with a small number of trusted services to run the studio. Each handles data under their own privacy policies:

• Email delivery: used to send waitlist notifications and transactional emails.
• Analytics: a privacy-first provider for aggregated usage statistics.
• Payments (client work): invoicing and payment processing via a PCI-compliant provider.
• We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with any third party.

Data Retention

We keep your data only as long as necessary:

• Waitlist emails are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
• Contact enquiry records are kept for up to 12 months unless you request earlier deletion.
• Client project data is held for the duration of the engagement and a reasonable period thereafter, then securely deleted or returned.
• Analytics data is aggregated and anonymised — individual records are not retained.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. You may also object to how we process it, or request a portable copy. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@zenshilabs.com with the subject line "Data Request". We will respond within 30 days. If you are based in the EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
